The one good thing to come out of the new Hobbit1 movie is the cool tie-in merchandise. For example, these Hobbit Moleskines from ThinkGeek.
As both a Tolkien nerd and a notebook addict I of course bought one of each. But I don't know if I'll ever actually take them out of the plastic wrap.

Because from the trailers it looks like Peter Jackson has desecrated The Hobbit the same way he desecrated The Lord of the Rings. There were no Elves at Helm's Deep you son of a dingo! ↩
